Uni is almost over againIt's my fourth year at uni and once this semester is done, I'll have one more semester to go. That's the really scary thought. What will I be doing, or hopefully be doing once I'm done?
So about two or so weeks ago I got back home to Darwin from the Gold Coast in Queensland. I went down to compete in the 2009 Australian university games in Judo. The experience was awesome. It was great to get out of Darwin for a while. Away from work, university and just Darwin itself. Met a bunch of new people, made a lot of new friends, had a lot of fun in a new environment and got to compete in Judo competition for the very first time.
Unfortunately, I lost my two fights. I competed in the men's under 100kg division (I fought at 99kg, today however I weigh 96kg) and as a yellow belt, I fought an orange belt (one belt above me) and a brown belt (one belt below black). I lost against both of them but funnily enough, because I technically came third (it was only us three guys in that division) I got a bronze medal. My friend unfortunately lost her fight too (she is a brown belt who took on a brown belt) but because it was just her and the black belt in her weight division, she technically came second and got a silver.
The uni games was great, but unfortunately we had to come back to Darwin. Ever since returning to Darwin I have been doing A LOT of homework for uni, a lot of assignments, while still working on the weekends. It's quite hard!
Speaking of Judo, last Tuesday night I actually got graded and received my orange belt! I'm really happy about that and was quite surprised.
So due to homework I haven't been playing any video games at all. I'm looking forward to Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (for PS3) and the Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition (for PC, to run on my laptop)... I'll be playing those once I'm done with my studies.
and once I'm done with my studies, I plan on attempting to get back into some artwork! I hope I can do it.
