My oldest brother Brad lent me his graphics tablet, it's pretty cool, about 7 inches in height and ten inches in width (so roughly 14 x 20 cm). He's letting me hold onto it for a while, since he isn't using it, plus I will need it in the future for uni work. I have little experience with tablets, I have used them before but not nearly enough.
Anyway. This is my first actual piece done with his tablet. It took maybe.. two and a half hours to fully finish, and it was done completly from scratch with no references. I wanted to make the piece look as if he is creeping up a stairwell, gun in hand, ready to blow someone away if necessary.
I don't like my style in regards to this art, I have trouble doing smooth, clean lines, I tend to always go, kinda sketchy.. bleh.
Lol, thanks Clinton. And you are so right. With a tablet, it's much easier, and in a way, much more fun.

yeh this one is cool reminds me of so many characters. reminds me of strider from the marvel vs capcom games cause hes got like that scarf with cape thing happening and also vincent from ff7-ac cause he looks awesome in the movie. lol yeh i overall like this piece, great job bro
That's pretty much it, really. This character is really, in terms of physical appearance, a mold of many more pre-existing characters. It's hard to be original these days, really.
Again, thanks for the comment. Appreciate it.

I think it still looks pretty sketchy, because of all the rapid lines and whatnot. Now that I look at though, I don't mind it much at all, although in the future I would like to try and get better at properly drawing, to be able to do nice, clean lines and stop relying on this sketchy-style.
Thanks for commenting, Megan.

I don't see what's wrong with your sketchy style at all. Thats exactly how I draw (with the exception that you have talent) when I'm using a pen/pencil.
If anything, it adds to your work; giving it more energy than a clean image. While your subject matter is gritty, I say stick to this. If you move on to petals and butterflies, then perhaps cleaner lines would work.
The pic rocks.

That's a pretty big 'if', in regards to petals and butterflies. >_>
And you have talent too, Josh. That's what I think.
But thanks for the constructive comments and encouragement, I appreciate it. Thank you.
